Taking Media GCSE at school got me interested in web design. Since then my skills have become progressively varied and comprehensive, evidenced by my portfolio of work ranging from print graphics to games to system development. I’m a jack of all trades, and master of several, but more importantly I am able to use all these skills in harmony, and so am well placed as a project manager as well as developer. (This is where we sell ourselves, right?)
I have no particular theoretical background, but I am highly influenced by popular works and concepts and a lot of my ideas are unique re-thinks of conventional mechanisms. Beatship is my newest such idea, fairly standard in terms of platform but unique in its particular use of a drum controller.
I don’t have any strong ambitions, but I certainly intend to continue to use my abilities to produce original works that subvert expectations… essentially, establishing myself as an interactive artist. But I have a long way to go yet…
