The Seed Network

http://www.theseednetwork.co.uk/

The Seed Network was initially pitched as a loosely centralised web artifact covering a variety of mediums to encourage and develop a community that exists both offline and online. One that was willing to converse and seek a more holistic understanding, and solution to the existence of commercial sexual exploitation in society at a local level. This was articulated as an effort to produce what became known as a ‘memetic virus’, a term which was coined during the development of the project which was used to describe the process of ‘marketing’ an ideological shift in a target audience. The Seed Network covers a variety mediums and looks at the strategy behind developing community and the spread of ideas via the use of new media.

About me

I’m a passionate individual who has an interest in the communication of ideas. I started out as a designer and have grown to be a flexible media producer with experience in a variety of different mediums. I find myself motivated strongly by social causes, community and a sense of curiosity and wonder about the world. Originally from North West London I’ve lived in Bournemouth for the duration of my degree and have experience working both in Bristol and Central London. In my spare time I’ve taken to songwriting and have occasionally played in pubs and bars around Bournemouth, I also enjoy reading travel literature, classics and philosophy. When I get the opportunity I enjoy cooking, sitting round bonfires with friends, volunteering with various organisations and backpacking around the world. I hope to find a creative outlet to make the most of my experience in new media.
