http://www.oicgame.co.uk/OIC is a web cam experience created in Flash using colour tracking via a webcam. It puts the user in control of a hand crafted puppet and gives them the ability to record the results and then send their puppet show to friends as a cool e-card.
The experience feels hand made and coupled with the intuitive input makes the experience feel fun. The user feels like they can mess around, have fun and make their friends laugh. Any body can use OIC as long as you have a webcam, flash, and a message to send.
About me
Interactive Media Production at Bournemouth has allowed me to develop a varied portfolio, including 3D and 2D design, games, narratives and for my final project, a viral webcam product. Outside of the Mac rooms, I have been a radio presenter, organised student events, attempted some stand-up comedy and loved every minute of it!
Placements in Marketing at the Museum of London and at RAW Television have complemented my learning and informed my career choices. Looking to the future, I am now going to pursue a career in marketing, after a well-earned holiday traveling around China this summer!
