Lazy Toolbox
http://www.lazytoolbox.co.ukI utilised this opportunity to push myself creatively as well as to learn some actionscript3, and experiment visually without the constraints of a serious client. I had a vision to create a virtual world where the user could freely and simple explore with no rules to follow. The purpose was to create a visual identity to promote a new experimental DJ, introducing the face of a fictional character and interactive narrative to communicate themes present within the music; surreal escapism and alternate realities. The user encounters weird and wonderful characters along their journey and a sense of mystery is withheld as user is encouraged to search and interact on the main page, in order to be rewarded with hidden content and bonus materials.
About me
I have loved studying Interactive Media Production, mainly for the opportunities it has opened up to me and the people I’ve met along the way. I love the diversity of skills we have been able to cover, and have used the three years to find my own area of specialism. I specialise in Flash design, illustration and design and aspire to continue designing for web and print. I would like to develop my visual communication skills and work on some exciting and creative projects in the future. I want to continue developing the characters and narratives I have developed for this project, eventually designing my own products. I also aim to travel the world, gain more experiences and continue to develop myself as a person.
